Timbucktoo. Review on Timbuctoo, Vikhroli, Mumbai

It's been almost a year since I last visited mouthshut. Since then there has been robust changes on mouthshut. The site seems even more better and refreshing, but one thing that I would miss is the audience poll section.

Coming to the point, today I would review timbuck$ as I call it. There is a long story behind it. Would surely share it someday here in the blog section. I have visited this place many a times, and the most recent visit was today. Today visit was wonderful, loved the food, the loud music, ambiance and everything was just so perfect. The first thing that came to my mind was " Did I review this restaurant on mouthshut"? I was confused.

I turned on my computer to check my review list and d'int find this review listed in my review list. Well, that's how I decided to write a review on this restaurant.

What do I like or dislike about this restaurant?

Whenever there is a mood of partying hard, timbuck$ is the way to go. Everything here is upto the mark, be it food or drinks etc.

All I would say everything here is up to the mark. Just one disappointment or a let down I would say. Would describe it in the dislikes section.

I really loved the ambiance, it was sort of a candle light dinner as I was accompanied with my soul mate. The atmosphere was really happening. Low lights with heart thumping music. It just gave the perfect feel that one expects. The same feel was felt when I visited Sahibaan which is situated at Andheri but the later being not candle light dinner types.

The presentation of food was impressive, the way the food was arranged on the table. The table d'int seem shabby.

The music was loud with all recent tracks played by the DJ.

The Customer service too was descent, but subjected to less crowd. I always pay a visit during weekdays so haven't faced the problem of crowd. I always like one waiter to serve us as he serves all the dishes with a smile on his face and with very humble greeting.

The thing that I did not like here was that when the dessert was served to me, the quantity of chocolate was less than those compared to the other outlet of timbuck$(Mulund branch).

One more thing that made me unhappy was that this place open prior 5pm, so one has to wait till 5 pm.

What was the food like?

The food was good and I must say, the chef must have put a lot of effort while setting up the garlic chicken sizzler.

Crispy chicken with malay sauce had a very peculiar taste. Not the same that we eat but the malay sauce helped creating that magic.

Firstly I hesitated for this starter but at the end it was a pleasant feel, as well as spicy honey chicken was great.

Grilled prawns with lemon butter sauce is worth trying. All the dishes here a very unique taste and flavor. Babycorn, broccoli with spicy sauce is also worth trying.

Comment on flavor, temperature, portion size and appeal.

As I mentioned the flavor was somewhat different and unique, and everything here was so awesome that it just added to the food. The portion also very descent and one can't hog high quality food being rich in calories. So accordingly the food was descent.

The dishes were highly appealing, and very well dressed up to attract the customers.

Comment on the ambiance, music, staff appeal and speed of service

The Ambiance was perfect with candle lit on the table and comfortable couches, with dim light and loud music.

The music was very loud and was playing all the recent tracks with good mixing of sounds. In my opinion Timbuck$ hire the best DJ's in town.

Are reservations necessary?

If your going on a weekday, you won't need to reserve a table for yourself, but if your planning to go on a weekend reservation is a must. A waiting of 45 mins is expected on weekend, so book your table.

So I would like to conclude that this has to be one of the best place to hangout, party, and chill. So roll up your sleeves and make way for timbuck$!

P.S. This place is situated smartly between the central and western line. So one can access this point easily even from western as well as central suburbs.
