Want to surf internet, send emails to your friends, use skype or use it for office work, what ever be your case, please do not go for Tikona. Oh it is the only option in your area...send post cards to your friends and you will be better off than using Tikona for your need.
I will be sharing my experience in detail here ...sorry it may be a long read, but if it stops even one person from getting Tikona, I have done something good for the community
I needed internet connection quickly and approach many including Tikona. They promised to install it the fastest and I guess did do a good job there. I had their instrument in my house on the 4th day and could open some web page on 5th day. Good part ends here.
The connection dropped every few minutes (ranging from 2 minutes to 15)
Called customer care and I was told there was some technical issue and it will be resolved very soon.
Called again the next day as the issue was not resolved
Called again the next day and was promised that their expert will come visit my house by next day and will resolve this.
No one came, I called again
This continued for 11 days.
I requested for a disconnection of the service and requested a refund
Also called helpdesk for the disconnection (complaint number -1-2532558781)
Response...your email is not correct (they had it spelled wrong) and I should send an SMS
Response to SMS - unknown request
Called helpdesk and was assured the service was discontinued and some one will come and collect the AP and my refund will be processed
Get another bill in mail…I called again...was advised to ignore the bill
March...some one claiming to be a lawyer offers me option of either 48000+ in settlement or be ready to serve jail time of 6 months
I put my complaint on Consumercourt.in website
Get a response from Tikona and they told the service was not disconnected as per their record and now they will do it. Someone will come and collect the equipment.
Someone comes to collect the equipment and he already knows that the equipment is missing from the terrace (equipment is AP). How does he know it? He has already looked at it. I want to confirm this and go upstairs with him. The door to the terrace is locked. Again how did he know the equipment was missing from a locked terrace? Anyways, opening the terrace proves that the equipment was actually missing …surprise!!! Surprise!!! .
This guy advised me to send the copy of this collection and then ask for refund, I did so but instead got another bill in mail. This time it is asking for more money in form of termination fee. Termination fee ? But we never agreed on any termination fee.
Got another call from their so called Lawyer...there is a summon waiting for me in Delhi. I asked him to do so and we will meet in court now.
Is this your Idea of having an internet connection at your home?
If so please go ahead. Or as I said before, you can send post cards. I guess I may end up doing so when I am in prison for those 6 months ....
PS. I shifted to BSNL after that. They took time for installation. Their speed is not that great (just 1MBPS). But it works. And yes, when I requested for a cancellation of the service, they stopped sending me bills.
