My Big Mistake..Don't ever think of getting Tikona

I took tikona broadband almost 11 months ago.At that moment in my area in Bangalore I had only 2 options for broadband connection Airtel or Tikona.As tikona was providing a cheaper unlimited plan I opted for Tikona(the big mistake).The very next Tikona executives came to my house and Installed broadband connection.After 2 days again a technical support guy came and checked everything so that I can enjoy a tension free Internet.He told me that whenever I face any problem they will come immediately.By evening I got a call from customer care and they asked me whether I am satisfied or not.I said yes as I was highly impressed with Tikona.Earlier I had Sify and I waited for 7 days to get installation.


The First month everything was going fine.Good speed and prompt service. The problem started from the second month. Most of the time the speed is very slow.Sometimes it took 2-3 minutes to open just the Google page. I called customer care many times. They always promised to check it but that never happened and all they did was kept sending me the Bills in due time. The Plan I had is 2 MBPS speed till 4 GB and after that 256 KBPS.But I experienced 2MBPS only in the 1st month. The following months I experienced only 150-200 KBPS.


After using it for 8 months that way( as I was too busy and Lazy to get another connection) one fine day I


decided to get rid of Tikona. I called customer care and asked them to disconnect my Service Immediately. The next day a guy called and asked me whats the reason behind my request. I told him all the problems I am facing.He said the technical team will solve my problems.So I said then I may not disconnect my service if everything get solved.(as I already said I was too busy and lazy).


But nothing happened.I waited for another month.As usual I got another bill for Rs660.So I called customer care again and asked them to disconnect it.They said within 10 days they will disconnect my service and collect their equipment. I too stopped using Tikona completely and got another connection.Then again 1 month passed and they sent me another bill.I said I am not going to pay the bill as I already asked for disconnection.The customer care girl said that I don't have to worry as it may happened by mistake.


But as the due date passed I got 2 calls daily from the billing department asking me to pay my pending Bill. At first I was explaining the situation to every caller but later I got fade up and decided to put those numbers in my phone"s reject list.This shows that they have no communication between billing and customer care department.


Then one day I got a call from a local mobile no saying that they are from Bluedart and want to know my whereabouts as they have a consignment for me. At that moment I was at home and that was normal for me to get calls from courier guys. But when I met them they said they are from Tikona and want me to pay the pending bill. They thought they can easily threaten me as I look like a average college going kid and an North Indian.At first I explained them the situation but still they insisted that I must pay.


So, I showed them My Official ID card (this card is enough to make anyone nervous) and They apologized and went.


After 2 weeks I got furious as they sent me one more bill including the previous bill.Again I started calling customer care.As always they promised me to solve the issue but as always Nothing happened.


I complained every possible way to Tikona. I was determined to not to pay these two Bills as I wasn't using Tikona at all.


Long story short, Five days ago I received a call from customer care and I told them my issues.so They said No need to pay the new bill but If I pay the previous bill then they will disconnect it.I am now determined to get rid of Tikona and these calls for pending bills for ever so I asked them to send the collection executive.Today He came.But he was telling that I have to pay for both bills as he was instructed to collect 2 bills from me.I said him that I was instructed to pay for 1 bill only by the same Billing people.He understood my issue and took the amount for 1 bill and left.


I hope after this finally I will get rid of Tikona. A BIG MISTAKE.


On May 8th Finally an executive came and collected the modem and wires etc.
