I have had the misfortune of buying Tikona broadband service in Indore 3 weeks ago and I can't tell you how frustrated I am.


The following is what has been happening for past three weeks every day:


1.The service disconnects every hour or so. I try to get it back up by powering the device off and on and then some times it connects but most of the time it doesn't. It keeps saying "Identifying" for about 5-10 minutes and then says "Connected" with limited access. I can't even go to the login page.


2.Then I call their customer service and tell the same story. The customer service tells me to power off and then power on the device.


3.Then they tell there is some packet loss and they will send an engineer to check it out by today 7PM but of course no one shows up. So far in three weeks an engineer has come only 3 times but I have been calling almost every day.


4.I shout at their customer service and ask for a refund. They promise, "Sir, please give today's time and we will surely fix the problem". I ask for a refund and one day they says they will give a waiver and another day they say I am not eligible for a waiver because it was not down for 24 hours or that I was able to download. They conveniently ignore the fact that I have been banging my head with their stupid service every day. Powering the device on and off every hour to get some connectivity.


5.Another irritating thing is that every time it connects, it throws you back to login page. So you have to waste so much time in enter your user id/password because it disconnects so many times.


So far they have replaced the device, reset it multiple times, changed the location of the device but the same story continues.


Some other sneaky stuff that this company does:


1.They have a toll free 1 800 20 94276 number but you have to dial this number a few times to even connect. Most of the time you get a message saying "This number is incorrect". When it connects, you get a message saying customer service number has changed to 022 40 629629, which will give you faster access to CSR but this is not toll free. Since you have to be on call with them for at least 15-20 minutes (because you have to tell the same long story again and again), you will spend 20 Rs everyday for phone.


2.They will not provide any waiver. They provide waiver only if there is internet service outage for 24 hours. Of course that never happens because connectivity is always there for 30 mins and then breaks. They will find one reason on another to deny you a waiver. They can see that they had to send engineer a few times to my house and that I the connection has been down 100s of times for past three weeks but they still denied me waiver because I downloaded 2.8 GB when the connection was up. Can you believe it? I am asking for a waiver becauseĀ of the time that I had to spend chasing these guys and the frustration that I am still going through.


3.They take 3 months advance(because they know customer will be frustrated within a few days) as well as 500 installation. That itself should have told me that this is a cheat company. They know their connectivity has problems so they want to extract as much money from you as possible.


Overall, I would not recommend this service even to my enemy. You will be better off throwing 3000Rs down the toilet rather then buying this service. At least you will save your precious time.


I have spent 20 minutes specially to write this review so that other customers can save their time and money. Stay away from this company.
