I don't generally do Internet Blogging as such, but I created this profile just so that I could write the Turmoil I went through with Tikona Internet in Pune.
I have been using Tikona for some years and it had been good but recently, I started facing issues withe their services. I lodged a complain with them but after multiple attempts, the issues remained. So, here things get interesting.
I requested then the services to be disconnected. On 5th July, 2015, I sent out an email to the Senior people at Tikona, highlighting my concerns in the most polite way possible.
However, my requests fell to deaf ears and it was not until October that they actually disconnected the internet.
I explained to them that I have already sent out requests to Customer care to disconnect the internet and also since I have already sent request to disconnect in July itself, that I should not be charged.
However, for 5 months, no one showed up for disconnect. The interesting thing is that they sent out Engineers to fix out the connection but in vain, 3-4 times over a span of 4 months. Anyways, the connection was disconnected and I moved to another provider(TATA INDICOM, wayy better).
In January of 2016, I received a call from Tikona's Legal department, mentioning that they have filed a case against me for Defaulting on their payment. Unfortunately for me, their Customer care department was pathetic but their Legal department was convincing.
A So-called Lawyer, actually convinced me that if I didn't make their payments, my account would have a bad name and that I would have difficulty taking loans or talking to financial institutions in the future, which I later discovered, was all false.
Now, they can't actually provide good customer services or product service but they specialize in threatening and extortion.
In the attached screenshot, you can see that I was getting just 22
KBPS from them, while I paid for 1 MBPS.
The only intention of me writing this review is that Don't Fall for a scam that is TIKONA Internet*.
Their services are pathetic and customer service is appalling. And also, no lawyer can do nothing against you, which I found out the hard way later.
At least in PUNE, go for Tata Indicom or anything, but Tikona.
