Pathetic Network & Frequent Disconnection

I stay in Chennai. I had taken the Tikona connection on Nov 30, 2015.


Since there were no big players like(Airtel or BSNL) who could provide me a Wired Broadband at my residence, I had to chose TIKONA WiBro.


I had called the Tikona Technician for a Demo, it was given in the pamphlet that "Pay after Demo". This is absolutely misleading in a way, since you get it installed & check the connection then pay for it immediately. So all these process happens in a day or more accurately in a span of 4 hours(Do not get misleaded by the wordings Pay after Demo). What I had asked was demo & what these guys did was installation. I paid them around 2 months rental+ 750 installation charges which are mandatory. I had opted for 4Mbps/25GB Unlimited plan.


The first 2 months were exceptionally good as far as speed was concerned, but I faced frequent disconnection & reconnection at times. Now after 2 months I paid the 3rd month rental to continue the usage & shockingly the speed reduced to less than 1Mbps, close to 100~400kbps or so, rarely get even 3 Mbps speed, It looked like a 1 Mbps plan instead of 4 Mbps plan. There were disconnections of 3-4 hours every day continuously & intermittent disconnections of about 3-5 mins randomly many times in a day, which might collectively be a disconnection of upto 5 hours a day. Pathetic!


I raised a complaint & the Customer Care refused to send technician & want to handle it remotely. After constantly troubling them I was told that I will be sent a technician to my place to examine.


Now I really doubt if they will ever solve the problem. The speed which was good for first 2 months are getting from bad to worst after 2 months & these technical guys will hardly look at anything & say the issue is rectified. This might work for a week & will be back to square one.


I will be disconnecting Tikona & will go for any other ISP. My personal advice please do not opt for Tikona if you want constant connection. Tikona is highly unreliable & frequent disconnection randomly and for a longer duration.
