I decided subscribe to Tikona even after reading some really savage reviews as I had no other options of broadband service. The access point was close and it gave me good results in terms of speed. The tech support is possibly the dumbest around. The service is extremely unprofessional. The subscribers are never informed of planned outages. I experienced this several times but still hung on because of the speed I was getting (Only recently I learned how lucky I was with the speed). But last week's experience stunned me to say the least. I lost connectivity and promptly lodged a complaint with the tech support.
The next day I learnt that the local ISP had taken away the access points and made no back-up plans. 1000+ customers were affected and Tikona hardly seemed to care. None of the affected customers were informed, didn't provide any ETA and gladly accepted my request for a disconnection. I didn't get any response to my emails for 1 full week and the tech support over the phone kept on telling lies. For people like me whose work depends on internet, this is a huge blow. Licenses of such irresponsible ISPs should be revoked. Subscribe only at your own risk but you are almost guaranteed to regret.
