I have had a few internet connections in my life so far. From BSNL to MTNL to Vodafone to Airtel, but none was worse than the Tikona Broadband.
My connection had the speed of 512 kbps. It worked great for the first three months. After that that speed dropped dramatically. In fact, sometimes the speed would be around 10 kbps for more than a hour! The connectivity was extremely poor. I had to be quite close to the modem in order to get a healthy connection. There would always be frequent disconnections and the internet then would not work for a long time. Once the connection went down for over 10 days, can you believe that? Adding to that, the installation charges are exorbitant.
Their customer service is even worse than the govt. service providers. Once I called their customer care executive as there was a faulty in my connection. It took more than 20 minutes for me to have a chat with the executive. When I told him about the fault, even he did not know that to do about that! After 2-3 days a technician visited my home and tried his hand at rectifying the faulty. After 10-15 minutes, he told me that it might be an issue from the back-end! What A Shame!
Flustered by this, I ended the subscription. However, my woes did not end here. They sent me a bill for the next month, even after the cancellation of the subscription. I went to the office and after threatening the guys there, came out with my cancelled bill!
