Whatever they tell you about the plan/service/installation is all fake and full of lies.


I was told that I have to pay 1047 Rs while availing the plan.


500 Rs for installation+ 449 monthly rent for first month+ service tax. Sales person did not give any demo and said the connection in this place is excellent. He promised to get the connection installed on Saturday(he collected the cheque on Wednesday).


The installation did not happen till next Friday and that happened after I made around 10 calls to sales team+ their manager and customer care and finally customer care manager. Sales person even stopped picking up my phone and I had to call him using a different number.


I thought my nightmare with Tikona has ended when the connection got installed as the speed was pretty okay. However it was very short lived. I got my first bill on 2 March and as per the bill I have to pay 143.52 Rs for usage from 17 Feb to 25 Feb.


I called customer care and told them that I have already paid rent for first month to which he replied that the money I paid is being kept by Tikona as deposit and will be refunded when I disconnect the subscription. This is not what I was informed initially nor is this mentioned in their brochure and neither mentioned clearly on their website. I called up the sales guy and he still says that the amount I paid was for first months rent.


I had asked customer care person for supervisor/manager but he had me wait on call for 25 minutes and then came back saying that due to technical difficulties he cannot transfer the call.


So now waiting for customer care supervisor to call back.


Update(7 Sept 2012):


Fortunately I never had to talk to Tikona customer care again as the internet connection has been very good and is working seamlessly till now. Original issue with billing was never sorted and I have accepted it as it is(hoping that I will get the advance adjusted against last bill when I stop using tikona).
