Tibchis is a small restaurant based in the village of Varca(a place in the state of Goa). Being surrounded with trees and a field nearby, the location of the place makes it one of it's kinds. Just a perfect place for that evening snack.
LOCATION:-
The place this restaurant is situated in is the one that will make enough heads turn its way. About 5 kms from the famous Varca Church, this place is quite hidden, but with sheer dedication to get here and some local help you are bound to find it. After taking about 3 lefts from the Varca church(approaching from Margao), You will find a small board on one of the streetlamps pointing you out to TIBCHIS. Also google maps will be able to help you out with it. It is adjacent to the owner's house
AMBIANCE:-
The place is a heaven .Mostly for those weekend evenings out alone with you friends or your lover, it is more than perfect. There are about 5-6 tables set and perfect music and lighting to do the trick for you. They have a parking space of their own.
SERVICE:-
Well it's only Gerry, the owner, and his female chef that serve here. They are pleasant people.
MENU:-
The menu of Tibchis specializes in Indo -Tibetan dishes.The thupkas, the momos are the ones that are doing the rounds. After it's wonderful location the second best and the most important thing about this place is it's speciality Momos. They make all kinds of momos including chicken, pork etc.
Cooked perfectly and served with their special Schezwan sauces, the chicken momos are a delight. Tibchis is also known to serve some chinese snacks and some rice dishes if you decide to stay over for lunch or dinner for that matter.
The next to follow is the wonderful lining of desserts in their menu. The Cheese cake is the best and you can choose you toppings as per your sweet tooth. Kiwi and chocolate toppings are most prefered* The other wonderful dessert you can conclude your snack with is the wonderful chocolate mousse.
PRICES and QUANTITY:-
Priced at around Rs 90/-* per plate for the momos, it may seem kind of little expensive but then in then end it's worth it! The desserts are priced perfectly with the chocolate mousse priced at Rs.60/- and the Chocolate Cheese Cake at around Rs. 90/-(prices subject to fluctuate)
FINAL TAKE:-
This is definitely one of the places to try out for the evening snack and for the away from the madding crowd evenings after a wonderful sunset at the Varca beach.
