As my grandfather was a thyroid patient I took him to this famous but poorly managed thyroid care center.My experience was so bad, we had to wait for 3 long hours for our turn to come even after taking the prior appointment from the staff.
Location:
This thyroid care center was the most popular and close to my house so I decided to go here and get my grandpa treated.It is located in Borivali West, Mumbai.
Reception:
The lady at the reception gave us the token number.We were given the number 23, and we were told to wait in the waiting area.
Staff Behavior and attitude:
Literally saying the staff of the center was not answerable to most of the queries by the patients and when asked about the turn they will always reply please be patient, your turn will come soon.Some of the staff members were also not aware of any medical or pharmacy nearby.
Waiting Time:
Our turn after almost 3 hours, till now we were completely frustrated due to this, but however we adjusted with it and went in the cabin of the doctor(thyroid specialist).
Treatment:
As a treatment he suggested us some do's and dont's and even wrote down some medicines and told to get them from the medical stores and show them to the receptionist.When I showed the medcines to the receptionist she was bit confused about the schedule of the medicines and finally she asked the doctor and confirmed.I think the receptionist is not properly trained or either she is newly appointed.The doctor should train the other staff accordingly so that there is no mistake and there is no misunderstanding.
Effectiveness:
After 2-3 follow ups with the center my grandfather had little relief from thyroid.The medicines were changed with each visit.
Final words:
Though the medicines show effect on the patient you should look for another thyroid specialist center due to it's badly managed staff and poor service.
