The first time I drank this stuff was on my first trip to Madras (Chennai) back in October 1999. I wasn't India savvy at that point and thought that it was just some cheapo Indian Coca Cola copy. I was pleasantly surprised by quite a unique taste.....
I was at work and went with my Tamil colleague to the on site shop and it was, at that point, the only drink available at the stand. It was fizzier than cola, a bit sweeter and there was somethingelse.... ah hold on a moment... say what!!! It's spicy! Not a lot but enough to tickle your palette. It was refreshing and yet... spicy. What else can I say? It's unique. Give it a try even if it's just once...
Is this a poor review for me or what????
