Thums Up is a well known carbonated drink, commonly we call them cola as whole. It was launched in 1977. In 1977 Coca Cola suspended business from some time being and Thums Up took up that opportunity and grabbed Indian cola or soft drink market. In 1993 Coco Cola came back, and the tussle begins. However later on Coca Cola took over Thums Up brand and now it is a Coca Cola Company product.
Thums Up known for its strong test. After taking over Thums Up Coca Cola tried to stop manufacturing this product to reduce competition against Coke but later they realised that their decision of stopping Thums Up production was wrong. Then they started using Thums Up against another US cola giant Pepsi.
Thums Up has faced many ups and down since it was launched, but it stays with us because of it's unique strong test. That is why Thums Up always try to advertise their product with manliness attitude. And that is the reason their Indian brand ambassador is Salman Khan. Salman always known because of his macho attitude and strong physique; which goes well with strong test of this soft drink.
