I recently purchased Thomoson 5-in-1 VMP250 at Thomoson Clearance sail in T. Nagar Chennai. This is almost 2 months back. So far I didnt get any problems with the piece. I got the piece for 3500/- only which is a decent price according to me.
So far I am using it mainly for MP3 and casette player. I played one VCD so far. As per my knowledge I think it will workfine. I am surprised to see the comments of others. In MP3 play some noise is there while playing. I think it is due to bad quality of MP3 encoding.
I suggest on the whole, dont take risk by purchasing that type of products. I dont know whether it will work in long run or not.
I may give more feed back once I get experience more with it. I enquired with couple of my friends. They told that their piece is working decent for the past couple of years.
