My name is Nagarathna, working as HR Head with a leading US MNC in Bangalore.
When my husband discussed with me regarding this super budget tour to Europe by Thomas Cook, I was very reluctant and skeptical as I had heard that these tour managers mess up the entire tour etinerary what they initially plan and never meet your requirement. However, our exprience was entirely different. Thomas Cook helped us in all stages of our tour starting from Visa processing, following up for documents etc.,
The help extended by Jennifer & Ashok from Thomas Cook Bangalore office is worth mentioning. The Visa processing was total hassel free and we received Visa well in time.All travel related documents, tickets, foreign currency etc., was promptly handed over to us without any follow up from our side.
When we reached London Heathrow airport, Thomas Cook representative was available to receive us. Our tour manager Mr.Gaurav Wakharkar received us at the airport and then on the journey was awesome. The hotels provided by them were quite decent and the tour itenerary was as promised earlier. There were around 41 people in our group and unfortunately some people missed thier flight & luggage on their way to London. However, Gaurav ensured that their luggage reach them in time and made all arrangements to ensure that all 41 reach our hotel in Lodon without any hasseles.
The couch provided to us for local travelling was best in quality and couch captains were very professional and friendly. Our tour manager Gaurav has good amount of information about the touriest spots in Europe and he ensured to give us all details about the places we visited. He also ensured to give us sufficient time for shopping and to explore the cities we provided, inspite of tight schedules. He was very friendly and cooperative. We never felt that he is the tour manager from Thomas Cook, we felt as if a friend of us is taking us around the Europe.
In all the places we visited, Thomas Cook had made prior arrangments to buy the tickets. So, we never had to wait in long ques for buying any tickets. In that way, Thomas Cook has good network in Europian countries.
The best part of our tour was Switzerland. Cruise ride on river Rhine was very romantic. Visit to Rhine falls, black forest, place of famous Cuckoo clock and last but not the least Mount Titlis.amazing experience at the height of 10000 ft at the freezing temperature of -5 degree. Gaurav gave us all the time to spend at this place and we played in snow, went in revolving cable car and enjoyed to the fullest.
I must mention about the dinner arrangements made by Thomas Cook. Authentic mouth watering Indian food was arranged at decent restaurants. Over all it was a 10 day family holiday where we felt that we have not gone alone but are with a family of 40+ members and a close family friend in the form of Gaurav to guide us.
