My family and I decided to take a trip to France and Switzerland, and all we had was a little over a week before the planned date of travel. To plan our tour, we picked Thomas Cook, and they did an excellent job of ensuring that we had a good time and returned safely.
Just as we were checking in to the hotel apartment booked for our stay in Paris, Bhavin Gogri from Thomas Cook met us in the lobby and we didn't have to wait for long - we had just under a half hour to leave our luggage in our rooms. The coach from Thomas Cook and Raf Trans that took us from France to Switzerland was driven by Pawel, who was always patient with everyone on the tour. When we reached the Seine for the river cruise, we didn't have to wait because Bhavin, the tour manager, had already picked up our tickets and handed them to us when we arrived. The experience for us was the same at every tourist location - we never had to queue for tickets!:-)
The tour covered 3 cities, and at each of the locations, we had a local tour guide who would explain the significance of the places we were visiting, and would advise us on the tourist locations. Lawrence and the other guides also advised us on the best places for holiday photographs. As we were taken through Paris and Dijon, Bhavin and Pawel had planned restaurants for us to stop at during the trip, and the food was amazing! We had reserved seats at each of the restaurants and the tour manager would personally attend to everyone on the tour to ensure they had all they needed at the table.
Whether we were going up the Eiffel Tower or hopping onto the railway to Mount Jungfraujoch, the tour manager would keep the group together and tell us where we had to switch to a different coach so we always knew where we had to go. On the last day, when we were heading for the airport early in the morning, Bhavin was in the lobby to help with the luggage and bid us a safe return.
We had an amazing holiday with an excellent tour manager, delicious vegetarian lunch & dinner, and a friendly group of Thomas Cook staff meeting us throughout the trip.
