This is my second review, I would like to put the disclaimer that parents and students should take feedback from multiple sources before deciding on the admission to this particular coaching centre. Also I would not like to pass any judgement whether this centre is good or bad and so on.
Anyway Let me start
Today both at JEE Main and Advanced carry weightage on the board marks so a student need to do well in the board also along with the competitive exams
Question is does this centre prepare students for the board exams? At the time of admission they will say "Yes" with a lot of confidence but they actually don't, they assume that the students are already aware of the basics
In that case you need to have teachers at home for all the subjects who will help the student for the board exams and build the base.so you can't be rest assured that the this coaching centre will do everything they mentioned during the admission. This is an extra burden on the parents and also after attending regular schools, tuition classes in all the days and then attending the classes of FIITJEE during the weekdays/weekend will be tiring for the student
The quality of the teaching is not upto the mark, you will find one/two teacher teaches well, others teach in such a way that a student can't follow, when you mention the same to the centre head, Mr. Biswas, he will talk/meet you with the assurance that he will look into it but nothing happens
Lastly if you want to escalate any matter related to the faculty to Delhi head office, you will not get any contact, the centre also does not share any details, all the matters will go upto the centre head, it seems to me that this particular centre is in the Franchise model, nothing wrong in that but there should be some mechanism and control from Delhi.
VERY IMPORTANT: Think twice before taking the admission for the 2 years course, if you want to withdraw for any reason, YOU WILL NOT GET REFUND OF YOUR MONEY.
My suggestions:
Students should opt for short terms course for 3-6 months, by this time they already covered most of the syllabus and know the basics
During the first year they can explore good private tutor/ some other option
SO until and unless you are an exceptionally bright student don't fall the trap of two years course and integrated course, remember as I mentioned in the beginning that the board exam should be given equal or higher priority
They will now start a lot of marketing activity of multiple FTRE exams etc. you may try out for that.all the best.
