Hi friends,
When I saw Thendral, I was wondering for many times.
Yeah...I was wondering.... How Maniratnam takes a full sentimental film(eg:Kannathil Muthamittaal) without any cryings of the characters!
I was wondering...How Ilaiyaraja composed tat type appreciating music in Azhagi!
I was wondering...How Fazil handled 'Keedhu's characterization in a wonderful way!
Yeah... Sentimental films can be taken n it shud be taken. But the character shudnt cry. The screen play shud make us to feel the charecter's sufferings or some other things.
But in Thendral, till the first half, u cud hear somebody's crying voice at a regular intervals. When the first half ends, u cud come to a decision tat whoever loves Uma(the Heroine) wud be going to die or face some difficulty. This much sentimental shud hav been avoided.
But taking the other things, all r Okay except the 'advice giving part'. The film has comedy scenes too!!
eg: In one scene, thr was a big crowd putting their votes. And the collector was asking Paarthiban(Hero) ''Sir, now wat do u want me to do?''
Paarthiban replied ''Sir, This is Tamil Nadu. One shud do 'archanai'(Prayer) only in Tamil, not in Sanskrit''
''But, I hav a G.O saying tat it shud be in Sanskrit'', sed collector.
Then Paarthiban showed the vote box n told ''for sanskrit - 600, but for Tamil - 6000''.
Then all ppl shouted as a sign of victory. Then collector recieved an urgent msg n ordered police to arrest all.
U cud c such type of comedies in the first half.
Once the first half finished, I decided to get out from the theatre. But (un)fortunately, I changed my mind. The 2nd half was gud. Thankar Bachan(Director)'s son acted well.
Vidhya Saagar's music is well.... But he copied some tunes from IR's Azhagi n Solla marantha kadhai. In his re-reco also, he used 'Hey Ram's piano piece. Thangar Bachan's camera was gud. His camera captured village in a cool way. But just 1 month back only I saw Kamal's creation, this village didnt give me more surprise. Yeah... Bachan did sth well too in the film. He took more care to create this film. When Uma seeing a old 'Kalki', it was 1989 dated. Like things were thr in the film.
Finally, when the film ended, I was again wondering... How Thankar Bachan took a fantastic movie such as Azhagi?
The only relief in the film was .... At last, atleast Uma's son didnt loose life
P.S: The things I mentioned r all only my views. No intention to hurt anybody. If any feel like so, excuse me.
Thanx n Regards,
Athi
