I bought a Lenovo P780 from Thedostore thinking it is Lenovo's official website and I would face no problems at all. But it was just the starting of my ordeal. First, they took a good amount of time to deliver compared to Flipkart or Ebay which deliver really fast.
Next problem was that the phone did not come with any official bill! Yes, an official website just delivering an invoice in black and white, that's it! Just before 2 months, the phone started a discoloration issue. This issue is common with P780 series phones. Now, when I claimed support, they redirected me to a local service center in Pune which is not even theirs. It is HCL's service center also operating Lenovo's (Fourtec computers).
This service center took 15 days to just get a DOA certificate which is actually a replacement certificate. I am armed with just this certificate on a piece of paper and running end to end at Lenovo's support with no one responding to emails. Calling on toll free numbers just ensures you are harassed with standard responses - You will be responded to in 24 hours when its actually 15 days.
I recommend everyone in India to just avoid Lenovo products. Buy anything else, I have a Spice mobile which works wonderfully well, gone through accidental drops, an actual two-wheeler accident where its back cracked, rain water, but is still working well - exactly the same as before. Lenovo has stopped taking the Indian markets seriously. Its customer service is simply people who are just asked to respond - "We will get back to you in 24 hours."
There is no other response other than that except they may ask you to contact another department. You have pretty bright chances of winning an election rather than getting a resolution from thedostore.com. Its high time customers respond by simply avoiding this brand (so-called).
