I was pushed by a literary review to go through this book. And, I am baffled to have bought it.
Like many educated Punjabis; this author also turned out to be obsessed with love and culture. Three Indians visit United Kingdom and find themselves at odds with disciplined life there. Apparently, they forget that right from the days of James Joyce, England has always been a nation of manners.
But, Indians- particularly educated ones- have very flimsy idea about themselves.
Indian authors have written a lot about Indian diaspora and cultural differences and some of them have created good books on the subject like Desais( Bharti and Kiran), Rohington Mistry!
Nevertheless, I would not recommend it to anyone!
