Hammockholidays suggested me this place. Me and my wife drove in our car from Bangalore to this place for a 1 night stay early Feb 2008. Our intention was to just spend the time in the resort since we had already visited Mysore before.

The ambiance and decor is the most striking factor you feel as you enter the resort. Located between the foot hills of the Chamundi hills and Karanji lake(has boating), the location is ideal for a calm and peaceful getaway.

We were lucky to get a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The room was huge - easily the size of 2 rooms in most other resorts. The furniture and the cot decoration was so creative and pleasing, that it put us into good mood right away in spite of the tiring noon drive from Bangalore.'Real value for money'(Rs 4200/-) is the first thing that came to my mind as I entered the room. I then realized the room also had a portico that opened into a mirror lake and also a cute private open shower+garden - something I had seen only in the US before. The quality of the shower and the water pressure ensures you have a refreshing bath. Overall, I'm all praise for the room and the architect who has designed it and would expect nothing more! I'm sure it would have cost much more anywhere else.

The food at the Olive garden restaurant attached to the resort is excellent and of high quality. Again the ambiance meets the standards of the resort. The flip side is that the wait time is 30 minutes or probably even more.

We could not go the spa since it was all booked for the day and so I'm unable to comment on that. But the instructor was very courteous and explained the different treatments on the menu very well. He mentioned that the whole resort has been designed as per vastu.

The only thing that can be better is the leisure activities available. Only pool table and table football are available. There is no open space or ground where you can play group games or badminton etc.
