"Breaking Dawn" is going down

The movie that has been expected as a disappointing one, though took my time as I gave it a 4th chance to grow in my eyes. This two hours of mine were not spent. They were actually wasted, not taking into consideration those 15 minutes of laugh that I just couldn't hold during the most “epic” scenes.

“Breaking Dawn” is a 4th book of a Twilight Saga by Stephani Meyer. When creating a movie based on the book, at least 50% of success is a good scenario which leads us to the 1st point of mine: Scenario was 2 times worse than the book. Dialogues were stupid and flat. Plot lost all the intrigue and tension.

Not that I’m saying “Twilight Saga” is the book of all times. Not even close. But it has a right on existence. At least Meyer don’t need musical and operators tool to transfer emotions through the text. The movie needed but it still didn't help. Actually not even Johnny Depp could save this movie, though I’m sure he wouldn't go for it anyway.

The next 40% is acting and that’s where comes an issue. Not a single actor in “Breaking Dawn” can be praised for anything except a good make-up(and yes, I’m talking about boys too). Completely ignorant Bella (Kristen Stewart) who has the same face expression whether she’s scared, in love, confused or her boyfriend is killed on her eyes. Emotions? Never heard of em.

Edward(Robert Pattinson) who after the” legendary” quote about the heroine is doing worse and worse and obviously prefers to keep silence most of the time.

And Jakob (Taylor Lautner) who on the contrary gives too much in every scene. And his expressive monologue that supposed to inspire and encourage is so inappropriate to the whole dynamics of the movie. Which makes it even worse following by an “epic” music.

The rest 10% the movie stands on(this percentage is just my personal opinion considering such genre of movies) – music and operator’s work…well it failed as well. Nice color gamma was arguing with music. And they both had nothing to do with dynamics and flow of scenes.

They’d have been a really good thing just as they are. But all together they seem to ruin everything that was left to ruin after such impressive acting and wonderful scenario.

But what is definitely good about “Breaking Dawn” – it leaves a lot of jokes and reasons to joke, so can be good to go in huge company of friends when you’re turning the movie on just as a background.
