The TOI news regarding Deepika’s cleavage is the main reason I wouldn’t recommend this paper. While Times showed that Deepika has a cleavage, she showed them that she has a spine. Commendable that an actress of her stature reacted to this rather than choosing to stay mum.

And they stoop even lower with their comment, “@deepikapadukone It’s a compliment! You look so great that we want to make sure everyone knew!:)” Was this TOI’s defensive comeback or eve teasing?

When a newspaper doesn’t have anything to report, they resort to sleaze. Are you running a soft porn industry?

It took Deepika Padukone for us to realize that it is unethical for a journalist to highlight a woman in a negative light. A woman is more than a pound of flesh. They talk about women’s rights and yet don’t respect them. Your agony is media’s delight.

What TOI did was heinous, but such newspapers have also reported about numerous wardrobe malfunctions. That isn’t right either. Why are they still being published? Why doesn’t anyone react to that? Yes, it was an unfortunate incident, we all know that. Instead of saying this make sure you don’t let the paparazzi cash in on your mishaps. All they want is money even if that is at the cost of your infamy or dignity!

Another example is Shweta Basu Prasad, we loved her as a child, she grew up to be a pro-stitute. There were many more caught in such scandals. Also, her clients were equally to blame, why were they given anonymity? And why wasn’t she? Why was this blown out of proportion? That is so male chauvinistic!

What sort of sadistic pleasure do the media and people get in objectifying women?
