This novel is written by chetan bhagat the well known novelist of india who get much attention from youngesters. This book story involves mainly three character three friends ishan, gowind the narrator and omi. The language of this book is very simple and it doesnot requires much knowledge of english to read it. It story is also intresting as it contains friendship, betrayl, riot, love, cricket, business, religion and more sensitive but intresting things which makes it intresting.
I read this book in one time.
This novel is good for entertaining but in my opinion it doesnot contains any message for youngesters.
The story starts from gowind a intelligent student starting a shop of cricket accesseries with the help of his two friends. Ishaan who is a good cricketer gives the children coaching for cricket to attract them. Omi helped him is establishing shop in temple trustee area. All things goes good. After a while during tutions gowind fell in love with vidya ishan sister and even become intimidate with her without ishan knowledge. Ishan find a boy ali with very much talent in cricket and start training him.
Things went wrong during 2001 riots in gujrat when ishan knows the truth and omi died saving them from riot. In the middle australia trip is intresting. After the riot ali wrist is broken.
And their friendship is broken.
And after the incidence gowind is telling his story to chetan bhagat.
The novel is good for entertaining. It makes refreshed.
So I recommend to go for it if you loves reading novel and you have time.
