… a bright stylish movie.

What more do I expect from the versatile director Steven Spielberg? If you ask me about this film, then I would recommend it to all of my beloved readers here.

Viktor Navorski takes the entire picture into a different world where one sits and stare the perfectionist portraying the character confusing each one of us if this is Tom Hanks! Everybody has a short fiction in their lives. The story revolves around Viktor Navorski who comes from Krakozhia, arrives at New York City’s International Airport. Probably the worse scenario would be if you arrive in a country where they invalidate your passport and gets stuck at the Airport for about eight months. That’s the plot been developed by the writers Andrew Niccol, Sacha Gervasi and Jeff Nathanson.

I often thought about in a situation where I would have got into or the solutions I may find out to get out of this. Viktor Navorski had no clue about what’s happening around and the time he spent there was merely a fate which he opt for. He met this beautiful flight attendant Amelia whom he shared a bit of the purpose of his visit to New York. He is here for a purpose. His purpose of visit was to collect an autograph from a Jazz musician his late father admired.

The movie is like a fairy tale to me. He comes and meets many people there. He gets close to many out there and alas what we are left is a couple of questions and memories. There was few instances where we adore this personality by the way he made efforts to meet Amelia and waiting for her to arrive as though it was like ‘accidental meetings’. I find it cute. Because it’s quite normal for a person who does something of this sort when he was harassed by the government and had to survive in the terminal for about eight months. He was in love with her. Now, the question is if she did the same! I don’t know or maybe I should leave it for the viewers’ imagination. She liked him… she loved him? I don’t know but I guess ‘there was a chance for them to be together’.

The set is an artificially made one where Spielberg traveled all around the world and was not satisfied with any Airport. This story was an inspiration from a real life and I guess there are few instances that made us beam and wink. Life is waiting and the tag line made lots of wave when this film was released. There were mixed reactions from the critic and its natural. You may not watch it like a Steven Spielberg’s movie since the story and the script is based on a person who arrives from a ‘fictional’ country called Krakozhia. His dialect and his effort to portray the movie wherein he falls in love with Amelia are the most touching scenes in the picture.

Dixon an official made his life tougher as he didn’t approve of him to leave from the terminal. Thanks to his friends he made while spending time in terminal and with the their help Dixon gets convinced to leave him from the Airport where he got close to many and found his dream girl.

He fulfills his late father’s dream of getting the autograph from the Jazz musician Benny Golson. But the movie may not leave you in bliss as he leaves from the scene without his love Amelia played by gorgeous Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Life is waiting for Viktor Navorski. When he hails a taxi, telling the driver ‘home’, we are left with a gag…
