If I was to describe this movie using the language of the movie itself. I'd say there are two types of movie directors and actors. Motherfuckers and motherfucked(no offense here)!
This movie without any doubt belongs to the former category!
I recently watched the movie. And let me tell you after watching the movie I was like "Now thats when you say you had a'good time'!"
The cast of this movie performed extraordinarily well. It be Denzel or John, the effort that they put in the movie showed(and that isnt a negative point!) and thats what kept me glued to my seat! The movie was a short one but did have an interval, and believe me I didnt go out of the hall in the interval thinking I would miss a scene!
Direction:
The direction of the movie is again extraordinarily good. If you keep looking at the people around you instead of watching the movie, you can undoubtedly conclude that the direction of the movie is too bad! Of course thats not the case for this movie!
Plot:
In early afternoon, four armed men hijack a subway train in Manhattan. They stop on a slight incline, decoupling the first car to let the rest of the train coast back. Their leader is Ryder; he connects by phone with Walter Garber, the dispatcher watching that line. Garber is a supervisor temporarily demoted while being investigated for bribery. Ryder demands$10 million within an hour, or he'll start shooting hostages. He'll deal only with Garber. The mayor okays the payoff, the news of the hostage situation sends the stock market tumbling, and it's unclear what Ryder really wants or if Garber is part of the deal. Will hostages, kidnappers, and negotiators live through this?
Well, watch out for the movie to discover that!
I would rate it a four on five!
