Well portrayed emotion. Review on The Promise - Nikita Singh

Today I am going to review a romantic novel by Nikita Singh i.e. The Promise. The story of the novel revolves around a boy who has lost his family in early age and got his heart broken by a girl who loved him because of money. He is successful business man and have good reputation in his business community. Overall he is man for whom money is the ultimate destination and there is no space for emotions in his life. Pretty tough guy. On the other hand another central character of novel is a girl who is full of emotion and life. She believes that you should enjoy each and every moment of life as it comes and is passionate about his interior designing work and also loves to paint. They both meet during a common assignment and our hero falls in love with her despite his arrogant behavior. Till he realize that he is love again he was deep in love with the girl of our novel. But life is not about happy moments only crisis starts when our girl announces that she is pregnant and want to keep the child. This makes our hero crazy as he some how starts believing that he is been cheated again like his last girlfriend which is too much for to take on and announces that she should leave him and never to return again. Now the Girls has a ailing father to treat and a new born baby's responsibility. This novel depicts the emotional trauma which a boy and girl have to go through when trust between them gets broken. I liked the way writer portrayed the struggling girl with no money, some scenes are just too intense and it was hard to stop crying. Some have doubted the writing capability of Nikita but she has done a good job with this novel. A treat to read.
