One bored Sunday afternoon, me and my boyfriend went and watched The Mummy Returns in the cinema. I was a little hyped - considering the trailer looked fascinating and the fact I was a great fan of The Mummy. I seldom watch movies anyway - and I could say from a can full of teen slash horror flicks, teen romances, boring comedy shows and absolute booring weird movies that come to the screen more than the common statistics managed to inform us about the huge number of probable bad quality shows coming from HollyWood, The Mummy Returns is an absolute bliss.
The intro was good - except to my annoyance the cinema made some glitch so I didnt heard several seconds of the introduction of the movie. The actors were fascinating and very fun to watch them fighting, arguing, fighting mummies and the romance between Evelyn and our dashing hero played by Brendan Fraser .... oohhh ..... And anyway - back to my little story. We have our wonderful bad guy and still as nasty as ever. He is back by the way, that Imhotept (I'd never get that spelling right so dont blame me if you spelt it differently) who still plans to rule the world. His love is back and both are planning to do some nasty stuff except as all movies, the good guys will try to stop them. Somewhere along the line - the tale would bring you tears and you feel for them .. the sadness and all. And you would see that some love are meant to be .. and some love is ...well, some people just use other people's heart for their own needs and desire. The only thing that really annoyed me was the almost ending scene of the movie. Computer graphics like in Titanic and Jurassic Parks were really cool, especially the incoperation of CG and real life motion pictures. But somehow - only that little bit of the scene looks weird and fake. You'll see that when you watch The Mummy Returns. Until now. I am going to see what movie they are playing in the cinema thhis Sunday so I can view a new movie :)
