Story:

“Either you control your mind or it controls you”

“Common sense is always not so common”

“There are no mistakes, only lessons”

“Life pretty much gives you what you ask from it. It is always listening”

“Stop spending so much time chasing life’s big pleasures while you neglect the little ones”

“Failing to plan is planning to fail”

These are some lines which I am able to recall after reading this book called “THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI” by Robin S Sharma.

I’m totally bowled by this book in terms of the passion and youthful vitality that it radiates.I mean , we tend to take our life, career and people as well time for granted. Right?

But , have we ever thought what could be the negative implications on our attitude towards ourselves ,family and friends ?

Well! I’m a bit perplexed …I mean .. I really don’t know how to begin telling you what’s the book is actually all about. But ,Still..I can give a bit of landscape involved and the subject handled in this book.

To start with ,this is story of Julian Mantle….errr..a bit complicated name( bcoz’ I thought that the person is a female..but then I realized it’s Male). So …….yeah.. he is a lawyer whose out-of-balance………rather stressful lifestyle leads him to an almost fatal heart attack in a packed courtroom. His physical collapse brings on a spiritual crisis that forces him to confront the condition of his life and seek answers to life’s most important questions.

Well! Hoping to find happiness and fulfilment, he embarks upon an extraordinary odyssey to an ancient culture(Yup…Indiyeah) , where he discovers a powerful system to release the potential of his mind, body and soul, and learns to live with greater passion, purpose and peace.

Blending the spiritual wisdom of the East with the success principles of the West, this inspiring tale shows you a pathway for living with greater courage, balance, abundance and joy.

So basically ,if you see ,this book unleashes the miraculous transformation of successful but overworked lawyer, Julian Mantle who, having reached atop the success ladder suddenly stops to take a long look the life he is leading.

Now-a-days we don’t have time for thinking about peace and spiritual solace……….however if we don’t do so …..we might end up searching for peace and searching for passion to plunge into new activities.

By now, you would have realized what the story is trying to indicate and point out.

There are many parts or rather chapters in the book which you find worth reading again and again.

I’m really stunned by the flow of the story and narration it holds .I completed reading the book in 3 days and…man…what a book it is…no seriously…don’t think that the book tries to preach …it basically only tells you some hardcore reality in our stressful lives and how to overcome this stress and time constraint.

I think this has to be the best non fiction masterpiece book ,I have ever come across.

I wouldn’t say that this book has changed my life but atleast this book is an eye opener for people like Julian Mantle.

Already ,this book has created lot of waves across the globe and has made Robin S Sharma the superstar author.

Robin Sharma is basically a popular media personality in the US, who runs an institute that, conducts leadership and life-enrichment programmes and has authored several books on related subjects.

I recommend this to all of you who love reading non fiction books. It’s a must read book.

Possibly, you can also gift this book to your family members or friends.

So that’s it folks , I hope you enjoyed reading review.

Do share or rather post your views ,opinions on this .OK.

Take Care…….See ya..Bye.
