Real or Virtual. Review on The Matrix Movie

"Welcome to the real world".The phrase kept echoing in my mind again and again even many days after watching that movie(Matrix).It made me wonder how could you tell what is that real world, at times I even pondered "r we in real world". I told to myself you getting carried away. Its just a movie. Yes it is a movie but how can one tell whether what is real. Ones judgment of things is limited by his abilities. We see and perceive the world through our senses(vision, smell, touch, taste ), which send the information in form of electrical signals that are interpreted by brain.

So if those those signals are changed then, the reality which one perceive changes.That was the idea of the matrix which made perfect sense to me and I got hooked to it...badly.There were a lot instances in the movie in which there was talk of real and virtual worlds. In the real world they were fighting the machines and freeing people from the matrix(virtual word). One such case was neo who was freed from matrix by morpheus and believed whatever morpheus told him but how can morpheus be so sure that the world in which he lives is real...it could be another matrix after all its the world that he is perceiving by his senses...what if neo asked this question to morpheus?

So how could one tell you whats is real?Do we have some other facilities available to us apart from senses that could identify the real?Also why to bother so much about real or virtual when it doesn't make a difference to you unless you know there is some thing real apart from the world in which you live. May be there is no absolute real world and so no absolute virtual world maybe things are just concepts. You might have seen a crazy person who yells, laughs cries without any apparent reason...maybe he has a different world that only he can perceive, maybe he can see things and worlds that sane people can not.
