I have visited Goa 9 times in last 4 years. And out this 9 times, I have stayed in Vagator( North Goa) for 7 times. I will be writing a full review on best places to visit, stay and eat in Goa in another review. Here I would focus only on the restaurant "The Mango Tree- Vagator Goa".
Location- The restaurant cum bar is located on the road to Vagator Beach. It is hardly 1 Km from the Vagator Beach parking. The location is the best as you can snack on or have a drink before or after visiting the beach. It is just on the way to the Vagator beach even if you are not staying in that area. The same is easily accessible.
Ambiance- Many restaurants in Goa are coming up with unique decors and vibrant ambiance, but Mango tree gives a unique feel. It is very home like to sit inside the restaurant and it is very fun to sit on the bar that they have on the front side. You can choose your favorite spot as per the number of members in group and sit calmly. They usually play international band music. Smoking is allowed inside too(only take care not to disturb your neighbors)
Customer Service & Food - The staff is really friendly. The staff has the floral shirt in different colors as uniform and they are very nice to customers. The menu and the food is very very delicious. They have best continental food. But if you have in for local goan cuisine, do try fish curry with rice. It costs only 150/- bucks the cheapest ever and very yummy.
The cocktail are mind bowing and exotic. My favorite is "hilltop mango tree".
The place is totally great value for money. Our bill has never gone beyond 1500 even for a group of 4-5 people. It is should be on your list of eateries in Goa.
The best part is the place stays open till 3 or 4 am in morning. If you stay in the area nearby you can even have a late night drink or snack after returning from party.
