Horrible Place-Beware of Being Duped!

We had been to this resort on 7th October 2011 for an office staff picnic. We couldn’t get any reviews on your website, neither on any other website, so we took the risk of going by what their website quoted about their place and decided to go and explore the place with our group of 20 people. Fortunately, we didn’t give them the entire advance payment for the package of 2nights and 3days which they quoted us, and had paid them only 50% advance. However, we had a horrendous experience which I would like to share with all readers of this website and the public in general:

The price per day for the package quoted is three times higher than the other nearby resorts in the same village and the ‘resort’ and the facilities therein do not justify this high price. The resort is not at all recommendable to anyone to stay. The resort owners insist on 100% advance payment which is a trap for guests to come to the resort in such a remote village and then feel cheated. The so-called ‘cottages’ are shabbily maintained with unclean flooring, aluminum sheet roofs (which can get really hot inside in the afternoon, as the rooms don’t have AC). The roofs also have holes in between, so one can expect nice ‘showers’ inside and a seeping roof in case of rains. And being a hill-station, untimely rains can always be expected. The linen is very dirty and you will surely ask the management staff to replace them as soon as you check-in to the rooms. Bath towels and toiletries are given to you only on demand and that too, after at least two hours of request. The kitchen is very unhygienic. Since the resort calls itself pet-friendly, vegetarians can expect to see an unpleasant sight of cats, dogs, hens etc. freely entering in and out of the kitchen and the restaurant. The kitchen and restaurant staff will be found playing with the animals and cooking and/or serving you with the same hands without bothering to wash their hands clean first. The food is tasteless. The exorbitant price quoted for the package includes all meals, however, the menu is fixed by the resort owners and the guests are offered only two dishes at every meal. Due care is also not taken to keep the vegetarian fare separate from the non-vegetarian fare while serving, so the pure vegetarians can feel really disappointed and upset with the service. Also, the sweet serving offered is barely just one teaspoonful, which is really ridiculous, considering the amount they charge you for the food! The resort has no facilities for parking vehicles. The restaurant has no proper covering at the side to protect you in case of rains. The layout of the resort is really unplanned and unorganized. If you plan to go with a large number of people, especially kids and teenagers, you will feel really disappointed as there is no proper play area to play outdoor games like cricket etc. Even for the indoor games, the only provision is in the restaurant and that too, with a small table-tennis table! The resort owners are very nasty minded people and treat guests as trash. They are very rude and unapologetic. Upon expressing our displeasure over the bad quality of food offered to us, instead of accepting their fault and making amends to it, we were asked to leave the resort if we wanted to! This is an extremely unprofessional behavior of not treating guests properly and allowing them to leave the resort unhappy, quite unlike what is expected from the hospitality industry. In short, this resort is not a ‘resort’ at all in the first place. It is a marketing gimmick used by the resort owners to dupe people of their money.
