Story:

Having read both the books released so far in Shiva Trilogy, I believe I can write a review for the product here.

The Immortals of Meluha - A gripping plot, with racy twists and turns. We are living in an age where romance novels are a rage and authors are emerging everywhere, plotting books filled with lust, passion and love! Amish Tripathi has risen with a breeze of a novel that takes you to the time of Indus Valley Civilization and introduces you to the Meluhans, their divine Somras and a section of people who are forbidden (as in every civilization). Shiva comes across just like one among us - be it the mistakes that he makes or the trouble he has in deciding whether what he's doing is right or wrong. He is every bit as human as we are. The book races to a finish that begs you to continue with the second installation of the book. The characters involved in the story and certain scenes such as the war scene have been written effectively and with great detailing! What a good book!

The Secret of The Nagas - This book was even better that its predecessor. As Shiva avenges for the death of his dear friend Brahaspati, he travels across the expanse of Swadweep to Branga, the heart of the Nagas' refuge. The truth that the Neelkanth discovers about the Nagas and their secret ways of living stuns us and shatters the opinions readers formed in their mind through the first installment. We are introduced to many more pivotal characters such as Parshuram, Ganesh, Kali, Divodas et al through this book and they add more life and meaning to the story line with their gradual appearance. In all, The Shiva Trilogy is worth every penny of investment in terms of your time and money. :) So Go ahead, buy it and indulge yourselves in an episode of History Revisited that you'll never regret. :)

I am already looking foward to reading the third book to the trilogy - The Oath of the Vayuputras.
