I love magical movies, especially with little mind boggling sfx, not the Harry Potter type. Of course being an Animator and a Design Engineer I really adore the SFX and stories of Harry Potter, LOTR, Narnia and The Golden Compass, but this movie is different. Its not that unbelievable too, and for making this movie really interesting I suggest you see some clips online of Chris Angel and David Blaine because you need to understand some rally strange magic theory like lavitation and disappearing, it actually works in real.
So the movie is about love. A magician loves a royal girl- his childhood love. He's been caught, and he leaves the city. And the most beautiful thing is his return back to the girl is when he masters the disappearing act of some king. WOW!
The dream of a magician, which requires very high dedication and concentration. The movie has very good effects, dialogues and magic techniques. Some are very rare and bloop magic tricks, but some are which you see, but in an advanced setup.
Our hero mostly learnt magic moves before filming, because his moves are so original and very unique. I never saw a movie of the actor before, but today there are many - one I have is american history x, never saw it, yet to.
The ending, which is the main area of suspense, which I will not be revealing - is gorgeous! Mark my word!
I hereby bet that you wont regret the show, please see it once. Just for the magic, because I can guarantee there are no flying reindeers and no crawling elephants.
