I want to know about how a private school are doing business and making money by all unethical ways. GIIS pune has increased fees this years almost by 22%, it is CBSE school and making lots of money. Parents has protested against fee hike they written mails to CBSE board and other educational authorities however there was no action on school and even principal not ready to provide any explanation about fee hike, parents tried to meet with principal however they denied any discussion. They have around 15-18 sections of each class and overall strength of school is around 3500 students, one of my CA friend told me that if school having more than 3500 students the fees should be around 40000 to 45000 however they have double the fees, below highlighted points will give you idea and will help to decide whether you should go for this school or not.
They have fee structure for new admission is around 1.2 L to 1.5 L and academic fees is 95000
Transportation fees for year is minimum of 21600 higher if school is more than 10 km away.
They are selling books and Uniforms in school with higher costs and only accepts cash, no other payment mode allowed.
They have introduced engineering kit this year which is cost of rs. 2000, which is also having higher cost.
Many Parents experienced and expressed on whatsapp group that this school doesn't have good teachers.
In PTM the school told to one of the parent that his son's performance is not up to the mark and continue himself in lower standard and if parents wants to promote to higher section parents should give in written that their kid will improve his performance, that was really pathetic.
There are many private schools in Pune those are making money, however GIIS seems higher in the list and I recommend not to choose this school.
