The grid is one of the new rlcafe cum brewery located in topsia. Though tge area may seen a little odd bit it is located on the main road itself and one does not have to waste time looking for it.
On my friend's recommendation I went to the restaurant but was not expecting the kind of ambience. Although it was very cosy place but it was more of a bar and not restaurant. It is a small place with arounf 7to 8 tables mostly for drinking beer and towards the inside were 2 or 3 tables for dine in.
So my first impression was not good. And one thing is clear that it is only for people who drink. Since we came a long way we decided to have food here only. We sat at a table away from the bar and the waiter came and served water. But that was it! Seeing that we were not interested in drinking nobody came for around 20 mins to take our order inspite of several calls! Finally one of them came and we complained of the service. He just made excuses and told he will take the order.
When the food arrived the waiter serving was so inefficient that he spilled food on the table and apologized! First of all they did not have a proper serving spoon and served from the the normal spoon that we eat from. He had no idea how to serve and took around 10 mins serving. He also had no idea how much quantity to serve and filled the plate all at once! Overall the waiters did not know how to serve customers and need to be taught. Even for taking check they did not come for another 10 minutes and were busy gossiping!
Now comes the food. The quantity of the food was okay but the quality needed a little improvement. The salt was a little less and had to take it from top.The price of the food was a little on the higher side but it was managable.
So overall it was the service that was pathetic even though they had very few customers. The ambience was okay and good for those who drink.
I personally did not like the restaurant nor did my friend. So if you want to drink only then go to place otherwise you will not be served well and you will not like the ambience also.
