I have been to Egg Factory multiple times. I liked the food most of the times. But the service quality, behavior of the staff, and service is declining every passing day. From being nice, they have gone to indifferent to nasty.
Want to mention two incidents.
On first occasion I was with two of my friends on a Sunday morning. We ordered some food and coffee. They got the coffee immediately before the food. If I have not visited the place earlier, I would have given them the benefit of doubt that probably they give coffee before food to everyone (whoever orders both). But that was not the case during my earlier visits.
Anyways, then they came with food for two. When inquired about the third dish, the waiter said its coming. After Waiting for 10 minutes when still the food didn't come, I told them that they should bring everyone’s food together. I was given the lecture by the waiter that its not possible to get everyone’s food together and how everyone else waits etc.
Recently again went back with family and friends. We were 5 of us and this time the food for everyone came at the same time. We had ordered coffee as well which we wanted with the food. But the coffee didn't come. When we went to complain, the answer was “De rahe hein naa…kya problem hey”…(whats your problem, we will give you..) as if it’s a charity and we are standing in the queue to get free food.
The food remains good. But with this attitude and service quality, I don’t think I will go there ever again. I think they feel that since their restaurant is rated very highly by the patrons, they can be arrogant and behave rudely and still people will come. But they forget that it’s the same people who can also bring them to the ground.
