When a ‘money drop’ for a local gangster gets robbed, everything goes haywire for a bartender(Tom Hardy). This is based on a short story ‘Animal Rescue’ by Dennis Lehane. You will find it very involving and suspenseful at times which its dark theme all over.
The same author also wrote shutter island, mystic river( so get the genre). Hardy is quite outstanding and I find him he has more acting left than any presently. The direction is superb and screenplay is of course brilliant. This one has got the meat and Hardy makes it even more memorable. It’s recommended who have like Lehane’s previous works, which is solid throughout and builds tension to a very satisfying end.
