Well, long time since I posted a review in mouthshut. But after seeing this masterpiece, I decided to review this one!

The Movie Batman Begins gave us an insight into what led to the creation of a Batman from the orphaned Bruce Wayne. This movie tells us how Wayne battles against his worst enemy (The Joker) one the one hand, and save Gotham City's true hero, District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), on the other.The Joker comes as no Joke in the film!
He means serious business WITH a smile on that evil face! The crime pullers are taken aback when Joker mercilessly ignites the 68 billion dollars he had accumulated by robbing banks! Batman battles 3 villians though in this movie. The Joker, Scarecrow(for a fraction of a minute!) and Two face towards the end!
Now, if I dint mention about The Joker (Heath Ledger), I would put my review to shame! Heath Ledger has given a flambuoyant performance (it was his last too!). Christian Bale lives the role of the Dark Knight and has given a spell binding performance once again! The background scores are eerie and pulsating. Makes you grip on to your seats at times!
Some applaudable scenes from the movie were the way Batman topples over Joker's truck. The conversion of his 6.5 litre BatMobile into a stunning 2 wheeler is also mind-blowing. This movie doesnt end fairy-tale like the Batman Begins. Here, Batman leaves the screen as a rather Dark hero, who is on the verge of being pulled down by the people of Gotham themselves! Though the truth being that, Batman did save Gotham City one more time! Batman also loses his lady love, Rachel Dawes in the hands of the Joker.
Batman spares the Joker. Remember, he never executes others (refer. Batman Begins!). Nolan has woven this movie into a classic crime-thriller tale! But. well, What happens to Harvey Dent??? Find that out for yourselves!I had my doubts about this film as Joker, according to me is Batman's ONLY nemesis. The movie has cleared my doubts and have portrayed Joker in the Darkest form possible! In short, The Dark Knight is and will be the BEST movie for many more years to come!
