The Big Bang Theory is about four scientists - Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj - and their friendship and the ups and downs of their relationship with their girl friends - Amy, Penny, and Bernadette.(Unfortunately, Raj, the only Indian does not have a girlfriend yet.)
What is different about The Big Bang Theory is that the four scientists share a love of comic books and sci fi movies and are constantly playing video games. The central character is Sheldon Cooper played by Johny Galecki and he is definitely the star in this ensemble cast. However, all the others contribute to the fun and enjoyment. The serial also features many guest stars including physicists and comic book heroes.
Though the series is full of humour, there are many touching and thought-provoking moments that give us a new perspective on love, work and relationships.
The Big Bang Theory is similar to Seinfeld, Friends, and How I Met Your Mother and yet refreshingly different.
