Story:

Well I have been a fan of the Fab four for as long I have lived; there are tons of books out there written by people who barely knew them or made up most of their facts. The anthology is the story of the Beatles told by the Beatles.

For me The Beatles are the I-ching, the answer to every question.

I loved reading the book I got lost in it and relished the little facts and anecdotes.

The book starts with a bio on each of the guys, they?re beginning?s from Liverpool, to traveling through Hamburg in a van playing nightclubs and onto stardom history and music which is now legendary and has inspired musicians of the current genre. And will continue to inspire musicians forever.

It?s the story of the Beatles told by the Beatles, the story behind every song and every little incident along the way, the arguments the fights, their experimentation with drugs and alcohol, their experimentation within the recording studio, with techniques that they thought up themselves.

Reinvention of their music time and again and their inspirations behind it, the who why and how of the breakup and so on and so forth.

The key element in any biography is the truth. And this book has nothing but the truth.

Written in a way that is like a conversation among friends and not a factual narration.

It?s something that I have never seen before in a biography. (I have formed an inclination of sorts of reading biographies and autobiography?s it?s not a decisive element when I go looking for a good read it?s just something that come instinctively.)

I have read a couple of books on musicians but this one rates the top most with me.

I find myself going back to it again and for inspiration and wisdom.
