Disclaimer: I am a big fan of robert downey jr.
So as soon as I knew that my favourite iron man is coming in a new movie even though its not a iron man movie, I was happy beyond words. But then the wait started. Avengers was originally supposed to be released in 2011 but was later pushed to 2012. But the good thing was it was being released in india along with the worldwide launch. So I booked my tickets and then waited.
And then the day came.
I was in the cinema.
I was watching the avengers.
And it was pure awesome.
For it was really less avengers and more Ironman. I am not saying that the other comic hero/heroines dont have a part in the movie (p.s they are all not superheroes) but robert lterally steals the show. As he says when asked by Capt. America what are you without your armour suit , he says without batting an eyelid, "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." brilliant.
The story is typical science fiction action movie with the world again facing a bleak future due to Loki, brother of thor and the heroes must come together to save the world. The action is superb and so is camera work. The story is a bit slow to take off but after that there is no slow moment in the story. A must watch esp for robert/ iron man fans and that too in the theater
