The Bad Part:
Globalization has had its effects. Part of it can be felt by seeing few shots showing India ( of course in the same old way - a slum bustling with lots of people). The other effect being lengthened dialogues and extensive description of a scene, which is not so Hollywood. The subtle comedy of Hollywood has also been so reduced to meet global requirements. A gliched storyline but Duh, hell with it, who wants to listen to talk in an action movie anyway. So lets get to the good part!!
The Good Part:
Brilliantly shot action sequences, cheesy comedy lines, giant terrifying creatures from outer space, guns, bombs, kaboooms, and a bunch of super heroes. What else would you ask for in an action movie??? A blonde bomb!!! Well there is a blonde turned redhead in Scarlett Johnson, but she didn't exactly set the screen on fire. Jokes apart, the movie has all the right ingredients to turn out to be a summer blockbuster. Ironman, Captain America, The Hulk and Thor. Too many superheroes to handle in 2 1/2 hours. The movie has some of the best 3d( you know the in-the-face scenes) shots off late ( after Avatar, Beowulf and Transformers 3). This is by far the best Hulk movie too. Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey were the life of the movie.
The Best Part:
Folks belonging to Vizag, rejoice!! I watched the movie in JMAX-3d. For those who are unaware, JMAX-3d is our very own, well renowned Jagadamba Theatre. How we all wished Jagadamba showed 3d movies?? So today the dream is a reality. All 3 theaters( Jagadamba, Ramadevi and Sarada) are fully equipped to show 3d movies. I have seen 3d in Sharada and Inox and the least said, the better. But I can proudly say that Jagadamba has the 2nd best 3d screen in the state, of course only next to IMAX screen, Hyderabad. As a Vizagite, feel very proud of it and happy to see a dream turn reality. The effects were awesome and could only get better on a larger screen(Jagadamba folks if ur listening!!) The ultimate thing was the experience, for I guess only the Vizag folks are capable of cheering a Hollywood film. For I started doubting if I was watching Avengers or a movie of a telugu superstar, because all the people around me were whistling, shouting, clapping and cheering every action sequence. This was the first time I have experienced it for a Hollywood film. Take a bow Vizagites!!!! Proud to be a Vizagite!!!!
Don't miss this movie, don't miss it in 3d! If you are in Vizag, don't miss it in JMAX-3d!!!
