A shepherd who has selected a life out of the box creates pleasant vibes in the mind of readers. The supernatural elements take the story on an elevation. The scene of theft and drudgery leads to catharsis. Reader feels connected to the story. A perfect example of one's mental world shaped in the form of fictional world is depicted. Paul Coelho is a master of forming this fictional world with the help of words. The story reaches it's zenith during the beginning of desert and seems to take a decline afterwards. But it never loses it's strength. The reader feels more involved and inside the story.
And Ending comes like bolt from the blue. As soon as reader thinks that the story ends, a real suspense opens.
The novel is written in an extraordinary style of mixture of reality and illusion. Every line makes one feel more psychologically connected and impatient.
The story is perfectly designed with each incident related. At no point does it create confusion.
