One of the most mesmerizing works of Paul Coelho, the Alchemist is an inspiration to many across the world who read it.
The novel features a young Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who gets a recurring dream which he renders to be a prophetic one of him finding treasures.
He decides to get the dream decoded by visiting a Romani fortune teller, who then shows him the way to start his expedition to make this dream come true.
As per her interpretation, the lad proceeds with his journey to the pyramids of Egypt. In his journey, he meets various personas who include Melchizedek - a King, his lady love, an Englishman, an Alchemist, who push him towards his quest for this treasure hunt which is unknown to all. Upon reaching the pyramids of Egypt, Santiago realizes that it is not the external material things which count as treasure, but that the treasure lies within himself which cost him the whole journey to realize.
This story is a testament for all to pursue what one’s heart is willing to do and the transformation power a dream can have on an individual. It revolves around the core concept that the universe works together to make ones dream come true, when he sincerely desires for it!
