This is a collection of Feluda stories. Feluda is our very own Bengali Indian Detective created by Satyajit Ray. Feluda reminds me of Byomkesh Bakshi. Incidentally, Byomkesh Bakshi, I believe was inspired by Feluda. This was my first Satyajit Ray book.
This is quite a good murder-mystery story collection, but relatively slow as compared to an Agatha Christie novel. And you get the feeling that quite a bit of the charm of the author’s writing style must be lost in the translation. The language is simple and easy to read. And the Indian setting.
