Thavamai Thavamirundhu'' (TT) presents a honest and poetic representation of a man. The film has a lot of electrifying scenes. At the end of the movie, the audience start to think of their past and present life importance and will recall their life events. It's a classic, and truly one of this variety. It is a mock-up film whose body work sparkle in the sunshine.
Writer-Director-Actor (like astavadhani) Cheran proves yet again his ability to summarize the universal emotions within a small story about a father and his two sons. When most film directors focus about the mother emotion, cheran’s this try is welcome.
The Plot:
The story of TT is about a father whose life is dedicating his two sons. Though not educated highly, his only ambition in life is to educate his sons well and see them explain the way of living comfortable.

Rajkiran (muthiah) does everything possible to educate his sons Ramanathan (Senthil) and Ramalingam (Cheran). Muthia's wife Sarada (Saranya) consoles him whenever he gets worried about his son’s future.
Elder son (Senthil) is bit playful, but manages to pass technical course and got the secured job with the help of his father (father worked hard to get his sons job) on the other, Ramalingam (cheran) becomes an engineer.
Matters get complicated after the elder son’s marriage. That is due to his wife who is unable to set with their family. Whenever saranya asks her to do some thing, she starts to cry and make the problem bit more complicated. Meanwhile, Ramalingam too, is in love (infatuated and obsessed) with his college mate (Padmapriya). The aged parents are left grabbing at the end of life. Finally, Ramalingam understands the stupidity of his ways and he comes back and tries to get peace back to the normal happy family life.
It is a simple and sentimental story with lot of care and confidence.
At last Cheran's film works because they are real and strike directly the mind and heart of the people.
