There are two types of successful stories. One type which is genuine, come out from heart which touches heart and leave a mark permanently. There is another which revisit us time again in different years, different languages and different forms still we like it no matter what. Thank you belongs to the second category. It is not a new story but it entertains from the beginning till end. If you can imagine a combination of Garam Masala & No Entry you can imagine Thank You. From the very beginning we all know what is going to happen. Some times it is not the final destination, but the journey that is entertaining, like Thank You. It is a revisit of an old story time again, every year in different places, different forms.

Krishna and Narada I think both don’t need an introduction. Kishan (Akshay Kumar) is a modern day Narada come in the form of a detective whose main goal in life is to mess up the life of eloping husbands and turn the situations alright. Raj (Bobby Deol) Vikram (Irfan Khan) & Yogi (Suniel Shetty) are colleagues who have one common character, that is near to the one of Casanova. The wives approach Kishan to save their marriage and simultaneously the husbands approaches Kishan to find out who is helping their wives. Kishan, like Narada Muni hum a tune and enjoy the mess only to get it alright.

Talking about Casanova, there is a Malayalam film in the making with the name Casanova, where Mohanl Lal plays the role of Casanova. The name of this movie could have been better as Casanova than Thank You since I felt Thank You is such a dull name for an entertaining film.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie Thank You. For that matter I can like movies like this any time, any day. For Thank You it is brilliant. The first half is nearly a fast chase. Not even a single minute the film keep you idle. Within 15 minutes the Garam Masala kind of fun was created and I thought now what? The writers come up with challenging questions and successful answers to keep the movie more interesting. Then, after interval the movie took a little slow pace for some time then came back into normal business and saves the show. The suspense it hold in the 5 minutes could have been better told earlier. Neverthless I enjoyed the movie which gave me some good laughter often.

The role of Kishan is safe with Akshay Kumarand he did it effortlessly. Akshay for his credit is growing young with each such outing. Bobby Deol makes an equal impression where in the final scenes he scores a few extra bonus points. Suniel Shetty is impressive. Irfan Khan is too cool for the multi faced sadist, adviser and Casanova role. A great actor he is, who did complete justice to the role assigned and more. Sonam Kapoor is good not we can say very good. Rimi Sen, the Hungama girl however scored boundaries and sixes with easiness. Celina Jaitley’s role was limited and she is ok. Vidya Balan, the Urumi girl, in the guest appearance looks gorgeous.

Cinematography is very good and it is excellent at places. The screen mostly covers blue and body colour, well suiting to the subject.

Editing could have been better. I felt at many places the speed was a bit extra. Even if it was intended it that way, the repetition doesn’t leave a pleasant impact.

Music of the film is very impressive. Choreography, however was only average.

This is a kind of mindless comedy I like and wish to see time again. Give it a try with the precondition that it is a mindless film on an often repeated subject. The audience, I could see is thoroughly enjoying the film, if I can vouch on the laughter in the theatre for it. Nothing much for children, go with your gossiping friends or romancing partners you will enjoy it.
