South padre is wonderful island connected to Texas by Road Bridge. Island is famous for water sports rides. Many people come here for fishing, to watch dolphins and some people come just for relaxing.
There are many hotels and an even caravan is good for spending few days on south Padre Island.
My Texas trip with my friend was of 5 days. Of which we spend one day on south Padre Island. We started our journey from Houston at 3:00 pm.
After driving for 7 hrs we reach on island at 10:00 pm. But by 10:00 pm office was closed we were not able to pay fees for parking and for camping ground. It was last week of December, so very few people were present. After reaching there we made tent on camping ground.
In night, seashore was silence and cold breaches were running, (temperature was only 25 degree C). Many people with caravans were inside their van.
On island there are many restaurants were you can easily find good food and beer. After have our dinner we sat near seashore and then we sleep by 12:00 O’clock.
In morning, after our break fast we went to parrot eye restaurant and bar. There we enjoyed some water sports like Jet Ski, para-sailing, and snorkeling. You can definitely bargain the rate of rides. Till 4:00 pm we were done with all those ride.
Than we had lunch and went on beach again to relax. Because of insufficient time we packed up from south Padre Island at 7:00 pm and than we when in the direction of San Antonio. City. To spend our next day .
