It was a team lunch and we were wondering where to go. All 13 of us wanted to try something new but did not want to venture too far from office which was in Egmore.
One of my colleagues suggested this place called Texas Fiesta which had been opened recently on Shaffee Mohammed Road. So the decision was made, it was close by and it was something new.
The best part about going out as a huge group is that you can taste a lot of dishes as opposed to going out as couples and threesomes.
We hit the place early. We wanted a good table before the crowds started. The place had an authentic Texan feel to it. The waiters were very accommodating and helpful. We started off with the mocktails and starters. Of the mocktails, the laguna margarita and kiwi margarita stood out. We almost ordered a sample of every starter on the menu. The chicken wings, nachos, the texitoa, the fritas, the salads and also the mixed bean tortilla soup. The chicken wings really stood out. It was absolutely tops. The nachos and the soup followed close behind.
For main course we ordered almost everything on the list so that we could try everything out.Again the dishes that stood out were the Chicken Fajita, chicken picante, smokin’ hot burrito with tenderloin strips and chicken flameado cheesedilla.
The prices were very pocket friendly, the quality of food extremely good. This is one place that deserves a try. You will keep going back for more.
